As a graduate from the University of Western Ontario, Al worked for the Ontario and Federal governments and has been a national sales manager for a local high-tech firm. After leaving the Feds Al began his own consulting business that specialized in international trade and audits and later ran his own publishing business. Al and his family are long time Nepean residents and Al has been very active on the executive of the Tanglewood-Hillsdale Residents Association and is currently the president of the Alliance to Save Our Greenbelt (ATSOG), a founding member of the National Capital Region Greenspace Coalition. He has written numerous reports and briefs on the Greenbelt and has addressed City Hall as well as Parliamentary Committees in an effort to protect our Greenbelt. Even though he is “retired” Al continues to champion causes for local communities and enjoys working part-time in a local grocery store to stay active and in touch with people.
