Norm Sterling MPP says Environmental Commissioner Gord Miller revealed just how little control the Ontario Government has over waste management and landfills, adding the report shows the Province doesn’t know how much landfill capacity is available across Ontario. City of Ottawa should focus on having incinerators and biofuel plants instead of lots of landfills costing billion dollars to the taxpayers of Ottawa.
City of Ottawa faces $10.8 Million Pension Bill in 2011 – City Treasurer Marian Simulik says the estimated $10.8 million cost associated with the 2011 rate increase includes $1.9 million related to the Ottawa Police Service & the remaining $8.9 million to City Services. The City of Ottawa got a failing grade in 2009/2010 in all categories by small business: Reasonable property tax levels — 70% Poor; Fairness of bylaws and regulations — 53% Poor; Value-for-money of public services — 65% Poor. Time for real Change in Ottawa. Vote for me to be New City Innes Ward Councillor. Change you can trust.
I will work hard for Innes Ward residents and taxpayers of Ottawa trying to get them the small municipal government, lower taxes and free market access they deserve.
