Rawlson King

Rawlson King is an experienced trade journalist, author and communications professional.

Currently, Rawlson is a communications director at an industry association dedicated to the advancement of green building technologies.

Previously, he ran his own Ottawa-based consultancy which specialized in public relations and market research, along with technology and management consulting services. Services included: execution of communications strategies, media monitoring and analysis, and implementation of refined market analysis. His consultancy provided services to various non-profit organizations, private industry and the federal government.

Between 2000 and 2005, he was a contributing editor and industry analyst at an information technology trade journal, where his commentary on the information technology (IT) market was also featured on CANOE, a major Canadian news Web portal. Before joining that publication, Rawlson was director of communications at one of Canada’s fastest growing, most profitable, private dot-com companies.

Rawlson holds both a Bachelor of Journalism and a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Carleton University in Ottawa.   His first book, The Dialectical Nature of Control Upon Electronic Networks, was published in early 2010 by Lambert Academic Publishing, based upon his graduate research.

He lives with his wife in Overbrook.
