Harley Collison

My background stems from years (approx. 25) of historical and political research, however, my paying filed has been in technology.  Gone are the endless hours and weekends sitting in local libraries reading journals and periodicals to find the “truth.”  With the advent of the internet and having unlimited access to several University databases with endless categories of scholarly research makes life easy and research less time consuming.  Of course the only truth which can be found lies in the ancient philosophical texts of Plato (on Socrates) and Aristotle’s logic and reasoning to form world views into reality.  “This logical scheme accurately represents the true nature of reality. Thought, language, and reality are all isomorphic, so careful consideration of what we say can help us to understand the way things really are. Beginning with simple descriptions of particular things, we can eventually assemble our information in order to achieve a comprehensive view of the world.”

As a conservative minded individual I do not hesitate to take all sides of any issue into consideration to form an opinion.  Most arguments written in newspapers and today’s television press and the corporatization of educational institutions, makes it difficult task to analyze and sort out the garbage of political rhetoric into some form of reality or truth.

I asked Mr. Batson some time ago if I could write about world issues as opposed to local issues of which he has plenty of excellent commentary writers.  The blue links you see in the texts are links to the research I used for the topic.  Where a book or journal is used you will find it cited at the bottom of the text.  I also provide my personal email address at the end of the text.  Please feel free to contact me to discuss any issue on a one to one basis. I have no use for cowards who hide behind online aliases, so you will have to state your name and have a legitimate email address.
