Pop Quiz (I)
Fair Chance 2010 just held its second seminar this weekend for potential municipal candidates for the October 25, 2010 election. Again, the attendance was good but I still question the calibre of candidates vying for council positions. It’s not that their intentions are bad, but many of them only scratch the surface of what City Hall is all about.
Some of the candidates would be better candidates today had the decided two years ago that they wanted to run for council. That would have given them the time to get to know the issues, the people and the dollars of municipal matters important to Ottawa.
I have put together a pop quiz on city council. This quiz should take you no more than ten (10) minutes to complete and get all the questions right. This is an example of the type on general knowledge one should have about City Hall before they get there. If you can do this, then you may be a good candidate for Ottawa city council.
See how you do…answers will be published next weekend.
