When spin boarders on misleading

When spin boarders on misleading

Here is an example of how politicians spin a bad story so they look good when they should really be the ones taking the blame.

On an article in the Ottawa Sun by Sue Sherring from January 12, 2011, Green bin contract makes no sense.  In the article, Environment Committee Chair, Maria McRae, admits that the green bin deal is a bad deal but tries to make it sound like it was city staffers that are to blame.  But I don’t believe that that is the case.  Councillor Eli El-Chantiry told Rob Snow what I believe is closer to the truth which is councillors knew the deal would only be good if it garbage went to bi-weekly pickup to “encourage” home owners to use the green bins.  You can here it here (clip from CFRA Municipal Panel – January 13, 2011).

I don’t need to write anymore.  You get my point!

So then it’s a no brainer — let’s go to bi weekly garbage pick-up.
Anyone who has a major problem with that should give some thought to their priorities.
