Know all the facts – the Stacy Bonds case
The Stacy Bonds case has stunned residents of Ottawa. From Premier Dalton McGuinty to Chief Vern White, all have expressed their shock in the videos released by the Ottawa Citizen. But the question remains. What really happened that night when Ottawa Police Officers arrested Stacy Bonds?
Ottawa Citizen writer Gary Dimmock has written a gripping story of what happened to a local Ottawa girl who seemingly was arrested and wrongly roughed up by Ottawa Police officers. In the latest instalment of the story, Mr. Dimmock now introduces the potential racism may have played in the case.
But as readers, we have to be careful not to jump to conclusions. What are all the facts about what happened that night? The tidbits released to date don’t paint a pretty picture but is the picture accurate?
Remember, Mr. Dimmock was the same journalist that got lots of mileage from the Larry O’Brien/ Terry Kilrea legal battle that ended with Mr. O’Brien being totally acquitted of any wrong doing and Mr. Kilrea’s motives being brought into question. That wasn’t the story line Mr. Dimmock implied in his writings.
There are a number of investigations going on to ascertain what actually transpired and were the rules followed. Mr. Dimmock is a good journalist and is doing his job exceptionally well. But it’s our job as the readers to be patient and to wait until all the facts are pieced together to make an accurate judgement.
The accompanying video may be crude but the point is very clear. It was the only video I could find that illustrated the point about jumping to false conclusions. I hope I don’t offend.

Stacy Bonds’ case has already been seen by a judge who called it a travesty that the charges were allowed to continue. There is also video evidence of the event in question.
There is much stronger support for the public outcry than allegations of a conversation in a Tim Horton’s parking lot.
Most people–including Bonds herself–are saying that the central issue is not race, so it seems a bit disingenuous (that’s like my catchphrase when I comment on this blog) for you to sideline the entire case “until all the facts are pieced together” because someone mentioned racism.

The police do not know their oath of office, let alone allow themselves to be governed by it. The abuse witnessed in this case is shocking, not because of the video but because events like this happen with regularity, this is just one case where the pertinent issues became known and there is a favorable court ruling.
The only question that remains is will we be able to rein in these contractors before an armed revolt of the citizenry? Either way, if you are a law abiding citizen, you should be arming yourself now. Treason is being committed at the highest levels of our government. Just take a look at the current status of bill c-36 as a case in point.
Tyranny is always, eventually violently overthrown. We have almost a thousand years of constitutional prescedent to prove that point. Will we be able to repulse the tyranny that has come to our shores with our existing political and judicial systems? I certainly hope so.
Forcing the police to actually LEARN their oath of office is a positive first step.
I am also wanting to see all the facts, but this lady in my mind got the same treatment as raped, no matter what a female does, there is never any jsutification for rape. No matter what she did to those officers there was no reason to humiliate her the way they did. In my opinion she got the same treatment as being raped. The Ottawa police force do not need women officers who put turn their anger to abusive treatment, there is never any justification for this. 4 big officers holding her down to cut her blouse and bra. Is this also done to men ?
Shame on those officers. Do these guys have wives and daughters ?
Chief White has only one choice, fire them and send them to work in sewers.
i double whatever bob b commented..there is not any heinous crime than taking dignity away from a woman…i dont think even barbarians would do that.the treatment she got was totally unjust unlawful and inhumane…violation of human rights
what was the verdict for the charges against the officer who was charged with sexual assault? did he get jail time? or simply just demoted?
